Launching a new sales platform
STARTING POINT
wego vti is a distributor for system building materials in Germany.
Previously, the sales channels were served exclusively by the in-house and field sales teams. An online store “zusammenbauen.de” was launched in June 2024 to support sales digitally as well.
A campaign was launched to draw the attention of internal employees as well as existing and new customers to the new offering. The aim of the campaign was to stage the launch and the benefits of the new offering in such a way that as many registrations as possible were achieved.
IDEA
The message “Weil JETZT einfach besser ist” was developed as a key message for a multi-stage launch concept.
The focus is on the new digital sales channel for wego vti customers: the wego vti online store “zusammenbauen.de” provides information about the range, price, availability, delivery date or previous orders at any time. In this way, communication reflects the advantages of the new, additional offering without calling the previous sales channel into question.
RESULT
Employees and customers were able to experience the campaign primarily at the point of sale (POS). The campaign modules used there, as well as email newsletters and social media posts, led to the campaign landing page, on which customers were encouraged to register with a “Weil JETZT einfach besser ist” launch video and a competition.
The wego vti employees were recruited as campaign ambassadors through internal training and a roadshow. The numerous registrations that the customer reported to us shortly after the launch are proof to us that our ideas worked.
